Lots of rain in the morning kept us inside for part of the day, but gave Kate a chance to catch up on some of her work. In the afternoon we took a short drive to Mu Ko Chumphon National Park with a large mangrove swamp in it. We were able to walk around the swamp and see the different types of trees and animals in the swamp. We had hoped to take a boat tour of another mangrove swamp while we were here but the weather makes the trip too hazardous so our tour operator had to cancel. So, we settled for this walk that we still enjoyed.
After the National Park we drove to a couple of lookouts to see the surrounding area. Great views of the land and sea in the Chumphon area. On our way back we picked up dinner at a local restaurant and brought it back to our AirBnB. After dinner Tari and I went out on the sea kayak for a short paddle in the bay. We got back a little after sunset. Was nice to be on the water.
