We traveled back to Bangkok today. We started with a slow morning….did laundry, packed, and had a long breakfast with Kate and Tak before Tak left us to go home and work (she is an artist – painting mostly with oils).
We then walked around another market in Chiang Mai. We focused on an area of the market that had lots of fabrics. We lost Tari at times because she was in heaven looking at all the different fabrics. She was very good today and did not buy any…but made no guarantees about not buying any here in Bangkok. We then focused on the food market to find some food for lunch. We bought a few items and sat in our rental car (an EV that will run the air conditioning while you sit in it) and ate our lunch. It was a place to relax after walking around for a couple of hours.
We then headed to the airport, returned the rental car, and caught our flight back to Bangkok in the late afternoon. After fighting traffic back to Kate’s family home we stopped at a market for dinner. We bought four dinners and split those between the three of us. Delicious way to end the day. We returned to her families home and packed for our drive to Chumphon tomorrow (6-7 hour drive).
