Day 28 – July 23 – Fly to Bangkok

We will be leaving Bright early in the morning (7 am) to drive back to Melbourne and then we are catching our flight to Bangkok (9.5 hour flight). We are bummed about leaving Australia but very excited to see Kate and her family in Thailand. Since we will be traveling all day I am making this post early. Will be a long day tomorrow. Heat and humidity…here we come!
I have been so enthralled by the bird’s that we have seen here in Australia. Here are a few of my favorites below. Also, I included one picture of a sign that we see in each town we go to. They have evacuation areas set up for Bush fires here. It is just a part of life in this part of Australia.

    The birds are so cool and pretty! Reese (Preston’s youngest sister) said in the cartoon Bluey, the birds flying around all look like parrots – fun to know they stay true to the real world. Love y’all and safe travels to Thailand.

      Thank you Preston. Yes, they really do have these birds flying around. They are loud but very fun to watch.

    Did you get to the mountains and ski resort? Any kangaroo or koala? Please tell Kate hello from Barbara’s sister.

      We did go to mountains and the ski resort. Snowpack was very minimal. We drove through but did not ski…wasn’t worth the money. We saw kangaroos numerous times…on golf courses, near hotels, and just off the road. Did not see Koalas. We tried a couple of places but did not see any. Was bummed about that. Kate was happy to hear your hello and wanted us to tell you hello back!
