We had a great day today in Bangkok. We awoke to a wonderful breakfast cooked by Kate’s mother and her nanny. They had a full spread of food for us: rice, noodles, chicken, fish, pork, salad, and fruit. We tried to eat as much as we could but there was still tons of food left. Tari got her nails done and Kate and I went to the mall and exchanged some dollars for Thai Baht. Then we picked Tari up and went to a Buddhist temple that was next to a floating market. Went spent a couple of hours there and enjoyed walking through the temple and the market. Kate spoiled us with trying all kinds of different foods and she even bought us fish food to feed the fish in the river. We then went to dinner with Kate’s brother and his fiancee. Was a great way to end the day.

Kate with us at the market. It is so great to see her again.
Grilled prawns at our dinner this evening. They tasted great. I couldn’t even eat a full one since I was so full from all the other food we had at dinner this evening.

I was born on a Tuesday, so my birth Buddha is the “Reclining Buddha.” It represents calm confidence, truth, and the humbling of pride.Tari and I feeding the fish in the river. Tried to avoid feeidng the pesky pigeons.
Tari was born on a Wednesday during the day, so her Buddha is the “Alms-Bowl” Buddha. It represents compassion and the receiving of alms, allowing donors to make merit.Fish feeding time! You can see the swirls of the fish out in the water.
