It’s a small world story – I forgot to add this yesterday…
Tari was in line in the local grocery store and a young man was behind her. She was getting something out of her bag and told the young man that he could go in front of her.
Him: “I like your accent! Where are you from?”
Tari: “Colorado, in the United States.”
Him: “I love Colorado, except I don’t like Breckenridge very much” and shows the scar on the inside of his lower arm where he had surgery to repair his broken arm.
Tari: “You look familiar…”
Him: “You were the girl at the bottom in the first aid room! I remember you!”

Tari had helped the young man in the first aid room at Breckenridge when he was brought down with a broken arm. It’s a small, small world!

We made the short trip to Mount Buffalo National Park just a few miles out of Bright. Wow, were we impressed! Such a beautiful area and since it was a Monday (a work AND school day in Australia) we had little competition to see the sites. We had a great time exploring and even saw more snow.

Hike to Ladies Bath Falls and Eurobin Falls

The trail from one set of falls to the other was mostly rock stairs.
Lower part of Eurobin falls. Warning signs for people to stay off of the rocks – lots of moss and algae growing making them very slippery.

Tari at the top of the gorge. She didn’t mind getting too close to the edge. I didn’t like it.
I was happy for the railing to the right since there was a large dropoff there. Especially with the solid rock on the other side.
Top of the gorge looking downward. Hard to see just how high we were but still a neat view.
I don’t like climbing ladders. I say this is a ladder, Tari says it is steps. What do you think?
Looking out into the valley. If you zoom in you can see the snow on the distant mountains we visited yesterday.
Not a sign you see everyday in the US. The middle sign is “wombat crossing.” We haven’t seen any wombats…bummer.
Buffalo Mountain Chalet – housed guests for years up here on the mountain. Undergoing renovations now and closed since it is quieter time of year up here. Would have liked to have the chance to look around inside.
The gorge was also a place to start a hang gliding adventure. Nope…when I saw where they start, not doing it!
This platform is where the people doing the hang gliding jump off. It was hundreds of feet down to the bottom! No way would I do this. Wish we could have watched people doing it.
Tried to get a better view of what it looks like when they jump. Doesn’t come out as well in a photo. Sorry.

      Thank you Wendy! We all gave Tari a hard time for not getting a picture with him. She says she didn’t want to embarrass him.
