I am writing this post before we actually fly but I don’t think I will have much of a chance to do the post on our first long travel day. We leave Honolulu at 10:15 am tomorrow and fly for nine hours to Auckland, New Zealand. We have a two-hour layover in Auckland and then have a four-hour flight from Auckland to Melbourne. We will cross the international date line so we leave Honolulu on Sunday, July 12 and land in Auckland on Monday, July 13. We actually land in Melbourne a little after 9:00 pm on Monday, July 13. We will then have to go through passport control, customs, pick up our rental car, and then drive a little over an hour to Geelong, Victoria, where we have an AirBnB. I get will get my first experience driving on the left side of the road in Australia. Looking forward to that (NOT!).
Here are some pictures from our short stay in Honolulu so I have some pictures for this post. Our next post will be from Australia!

The link below is to a Denver7 news interview of a player that Tari and I coached at Grandview. She is now playing professionally on the Denver Summit FC team. The interview focuses on her good fortune of playing high school, college (she played three years at University of Colorado), and now as a professional all in Colorado.
