Our first full day on the island of Hawai’i. We had a nice slow morning watching soccer and then went shopping for groceries. We spent the afternoon doing a trip down the coast and learned a lot about the history of Hawai’i and how it became a US state. We visited the Pu’uhonua o Honanunau National Historical Park and enjoyed the incredible scenery. Tomorrow we plan to drive north and see the northern part of the island.
